On Thursday 13 July, an insightful dialogue unfolded in the conference room of the Bucharest office of the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and to the Resistance: Mrs. Niculina Moica and talked with the pupils from Anastasia Popescu Orthodox Pedagogical Upper Secondary School in a session moderated by Ioana Boca and Virginia Ion.

Alongside other young individuals, Niculina Moica, then a 16-year-old secondary school pupil (born in 1943 in Ploiești), was arrested on 15 June 1959. They were sentenced to 20 years of forced labour for their involvement in the anti-communist organisation Union of Free Youth. After five years in the prisons of Târgu Mureș, Jilava, Botoșani, Arad, and Oradea, Niculina Moica was pardoned and released on 23 June 1964.
