On 8 and 9 September in Washington DC, an international conference was organised by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars with the theme „Cold War Memory: Interpreting the Physical Legacy of the Cold War”. The Memorial to the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance in Sighet was represented by Romulus Rusan, Director of the Centre for the Study of Communism.
