In Bucharest, in the first decade of the new year (January 11, 2004), took place a debate regarding the demographical policy of the Ceausecu’s regime, titled “The children’s crusade”, after a 1984 poem by Ana Blandiana:

“Which was the consequence of the demographical policy of the 1966-1989?”, “How many victims Ceausescu’s decrees made among the “unasked mothers”?”, “Which were the social effects of the unwanted children growth?” These were the questions that a psycholog-historian (Lavinia Betea), a former prosecutor (Grigore Dobos) and several doctors (Mircea Pavel, Traian Rebedea, Petre Ciulcu, Mariana Florian, Florin Alexandru Stanescu, George Calalb, Dan Peretianu) answered, having Ana Blandiana and Romulus Rusan as mediators. Delia Botca and Adelina Stefan made the oral history recordings.
