Dignitary in the Ruling Council, leader of the National Peasants’ Party, minister – successively – of Public Works, Finance, the Interior, and Justice.
Arrested on 21 August 1947, for “intensive activity in the National Peasants’ Party”, he was interned at Sighet for twenty-four months, subsequently categorised in MAI Decision no. 334/1951; sentence increased to sixty months, by MAI Decision no. 559/1953. Released on 5 July 1955.
