On 13-15 October 2022, Sighet hosted the International Poetry Festival. On October 14, Prof. Gh. M. Bârlea moderated a debate titled Prison Poetry and the Fate of Poets, which took place in the conference room of the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and to the Resistance.
After the debate, the writers in attendance took a guided tour of the museum, led by Gh. M. Bârlea, a member of the Board of Directors of the Civic Academy Foundation.
